About this recipe
A treat with an ingredient list you can say in one breath. Beef tripe. That is it. No binder, no coating, no "meat derivatives". It is air-dried, which takes longer than baking but means nothing has to be added to hold the shape.
Why beef tripe. Tripe is the stomach lining, and dried green tripe carries the digestive enzymes and gut bacteria that make it easy on a dog's own gut. It smells strong, which is exactly why fussy dogs cannot leave it alone.
Who it suits. Small dogs, puppies and light chewers as well as bigger dogs. If your dog gulps rather than chews, start with a training bone.
Natural means it varies. A 100g pack is roughly 3 to 5 pieces. Size and colour vary because they are whole parts, not moulded ones.

Questions you might have
Can my dog have beef tripe every day?
As an occasional chew, yes. A good rule of thumb is to keep treats under about a tenth of your dog's daily food. Stay nearby while they chew, pick a size they cannot swallow whole, and take away the last little piece. Small dogs and puppies can enjoy it too, in a size they can manage.
What are the benefits of green tripe for dogs?
Green tripe is the unwashed stomach lining of the cow. It contains the digestive enzymes and naturally occurring probiotics from the animal's own gut, which is why it is often used for dogs with fussy or sensitive stomachs. It is also very palatable, so it works to tempt a dog that is off its food. The smell is strong; that is the point.
Why does it smell so strong?
That is tripe for you. The smell comes from the natural enzymes in it, and it is exactly what makes dogs go wild for it. It settles down once the pack is resealed, we promise.
Why does my pack look a bit different from last time?
Because these are real, whole pieces that have been air-dried, not shapes pressed out of a mould. Every animal is a little different, so the size and colour of each piece will vary from pack to pack. What stays the same is the weight on the front, so your dog always gets the full amount.
Is it really just one ingredient?
It really is. Beef tripe, air-dried, and sourced within the EU. Nothing added to bind it, coat it, preserve it or flavour it. That is why the label on the pack is so short: there is nothing else to list.
How do I keep it fresh?
Somewhere cool and dry, with the pack sealed up between chews, and use it by the best-before date. If your dog only gets one now and again, just reseal the pack after each one and it will stay at its best.
