About this recipe
A treat with an ingredient list you can say in one breath. Chicken feet. That is it. No binder, no coating, no "meat derivatives". It is air-dried, which takes longer than baking but means nothing has to be added to hold the shape.
Why chicken feet. A chicken foot is skin, tendon, cartilage and small bones. Dried, it crunches rather than splinters, and the crunching is what cleans the teeth. The cartilage carries glucosamine and the bone carries calcium.
Who it suits. Small and medium dogs and puppies with their adult teeth. Big dogs can have them too, but will get through one in seconds.
Natural means it varies. Feet vary in size and colour because they are whole parts. A 100g pack is what you are buying.

It has bone in. Is a whole chicken foot safe for my dog?
Yes. Air-dried chicken feet are a long-standing favourite, and drying makes the bone soft enough to crunch rather than splinter. Stay nearby while your dog chews, pick a size they cannot swallow whole, and take away the last little piece. Small dogs and puppies can enjoy them too, in a size they can manage.
What are the benefits of chicken feet for dogs?
Chicken feet are mostly skin, tendon and cartilage, which is where the natural glucosamine and chondroitin sit. They are one of the cheaper ways to give a dog a joint-supporting chew, and the crunch cleans teeth as it goes. They are small, so they suit dogs that cannot manage a neck or a trachea.
Can a puppy have chicken feet?
Yes, from around four months, one at a time and under supervision. The bones are air-dried so they crunch rather than splinter. If your puppy tries to swallow it whole, hold one end while they chew until they learn to work at it.
Why does my pack look a bit different from last time?
Because these are real, whole pieces that have been air-dried, not shapes pressed out of a mould. Every animal is a little different, so the size and colour of each piece will vary from pack to pack. What stays the same is the weight on the front, so your dog always gets the full amount.
Is it really just one ingredient?
It really is. Chicken feet, air-dried, and sourced within the EU. Nothing added to bind it, coat it, preserve it or flavour it. That is why the label on the pack is so short: there is nothing else to list.
How do I keep it fresh?
Somewhere cool and dry, with the pack sealed up between chews, and use it by the best-before date. If your dog only gets one now and again, just reseal the pack after each one and it will stay at its best.
