About this recipe
A training treat with no meat in it. Some dogs cannot have beef, chicken or lamb. Some owners would rather not feed meat as a treat. Apple strips are the answer to both: 98% apple, 2% guar seeds, dried gently to a soft chew.
Dogs that turn their nose up at fruit love them. The drying concentrates the sugar and the chew gives them something to work at. They do not crumble or go sticky in a pocket.
Lighter on the planet too. A plant-based treat takes far less energy to produce than a meat one. It is not why we make them, but it is a fair reason to reach for them.
Who it suits. Every size and age. Cut a strip into pieces for a small dog or a puppy; a reward only needs to be a taste.

Ingredients, in pack order
Apple 98%, guar seeds 2%. Gently dried. EU sourced. Vegan. Free from meat, grains, artificial colours, preservatives and fillers.
Net weight 100g (approx. 12 strips, 10cm).
Complementary pet food for dogs. Suitable for all dogs over 4 months. Always provide fresh drinking water and supervise your dog when feeding any treat. Store in a cool, dry place.

- Treats should stay under about a tenth of the day's food. On a heavy training day, take a little off the evening meal.
- Break them smaller for small dogs and puppies. A reward only needs to be a taste.
- Store cool, dry and sealed, and use by the best-before date.

My dog reacts to meat. Are these OK?
Yes. There is no meat, grain, dairy or egg in them, just 98% apple and 2% guar seeds. If your dog reacts to several proteins, this is the treat in our range made for them.
Is there any added sugar?
None at all. The sweetness is the apple's own, concentrated by drying. No added sugar, syrup or sweetener.
Why does the colour vary from pack to pack?
Because it is real dried apple. Colour, size and shape change with the fruit and the drying, so no two packs look quite the same. The 100g on the front is always the same.
How do I keep them fresh?
Somewhere cool and dry, sealed up between sessions, and use them by the best-before date. A quick reseal after each training session keeps them crisp.
